Using the power of research, design, and filmmaking to inspire behavior change for a better world.

A total of 300 researchers, designers, and filmmakers from all around the world in response to a LinkedIn post have come together to volunteer their time for this exciting project.

In an era where global challenges like climate change, animal and human suffering, food insecurity, human illness, and biodiversity loss escalate, there is a pressing need for swift and effective action. Despite the availability of solutions to combat these issues, progress remains frustratingly slow. Why is transformative change not occurring at the pace required? What barriers are preventing us from securing a sustainable, ethical, and equitable future?

Karel Vredenburg and Carly Williams joined forces and founded the initiative.

Experienced research and design executive, Karel Vredenburg, and accomplished filmmaker and producer, Carly Williams, have combined their skills and expertise to take a research-based approach (using UX research methods) to meet people where they are and determine the reasons why change isn’t happening rapidly enough at both an individual and systems level, a design-based approach (using UX design methods) to ideate ways to address the inhibitors we discover, and then a film-based approach to get those ideas out in the world through a documentary and social media outreach (using compelling storytelling and filmmaking).

Karel and Carly are so appreciative and thankful for the amazing researchers, designers, and filmmakers who have volunteered for the project.
